Job Description
Facilities Manager
We are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and improvement of our facilities. This role is responsible for creating a safe and efficient work environment, managing vendor and supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
The Facilities Manager will be a hands-on leader, balancing day-to-day facility operations with long-term planning, budgeting, and project execution. This person will work closely with management, vendors, and the operations team to keep our facilities running smoothly and cost-effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and coach facilities staff, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations.
- Oversee daily work assignments to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
- Provide direction and support for facility-related operations and projects.
- Manage preventative and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and other building systems.
- Oversee security, space planning, construction, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA, ADA, ISO, and other regulatory requirements.
- Select, contract, and manage vendors, ensuring quality performance, cost control, and compliance.
- Oversee construction and renovation projects, including reviewing drawings, proposals, and bids.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage budgets for facilities, equipment, and maintenance.
- Draft RFPs, RFQs, and SOWs; track project progress, invoices, and payments.
- Maintain documentation for facilities processes, policies, and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of facilities management or commercial building maintenance experience.
- Project management experience with mechanical, electrical, and construction systems.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification.
- Experience with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and space planning.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Knowledge of HVAC, generators, air compressors, and systems furniture installation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and solve problems with tact and professionalism.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, pull/push, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment –
Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines
PPE-
May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures
