Job Description

Are you ready to make a real impact? Are you excited by the opportunity to grow your sustainability knowledge while unlocking climate action for enterprise organizations?

Then join CEEZER and help companies across the globe to leverage a truly impactful solution that is finally fixing how companies get to Net Zero using the voluntary carbon market and data-led insights. Use your skills to tackle one of the most critical challenges humanity has ever faced: climate change.

Looking for a highly motivated Carbon Project Sourcing Intern (f/d/m), who loves a challenge and can’t wait to help us source high-quality carbon credits.

  • Identify and engage with carbon project developers worldwide, supporting targeted outreach campaigns aligned with CEEZER's strategic sourcing priorities.
  • Assist CEEZER's supply team in managing partnerships with diverse carbon credit projects across a wide array of project types, including direct air capture, biochar, regenerative agriculture, and blue carbon.
  • Analyze emerging trends in the voluntary carbon market and translate insights from academic discussions into actionable strategies.
  • Dive deep into project impact analyses, project materials, and data.
  • Evaluate and enhance internal processes through critical analysis and innovation.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of carbon credit projects, evaluating key risk factors such as additionality, over-crediting, delivery reliability, and social and environmental safeguards.
  • Nearing the final stages or successful completion of your academic (bachelor's/master's) journey in sustainability or related field with outstanding achievements.
  • Previous experience in the sustainability/climate space, ideally with exposure to the voluntary carbon market.
  • Strong solution-finding abilities with new, creative approaches on how to overcome challenges.
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities in an evolving business environment and to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Residing in Berlin or demonstrating a willingness to relocate to Berlin for the duration of the internship (6 months).
  • A valid working permit in Germany.
  • A mission that matters: Join a rapidly growing, dynamic team of international changemakers who are passionate about solving the world’s most pressing challenge and help shape a sustainable, net-zero future.
  • A learning culture: Take your skills to the next level with exciting growth opportunities, hands-on learning experiences, and access to resources designed to fuel your professional journey in a start-up that prioritizes learning and growth.
  • A diverse environment: Thrive in an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated, and your unique perspective helps us flourish as a team.
  • A net-zero career: From day one, your professional and personal carbon footprint is neutralized—because at CEEZER, sustainability isn’t just our mission, it’s how we operate.
  • An attractive package: Enjoy perks like free Urban Sports Club membership, a discounted public transport, team events and offsites, and more… If you don't meet every requirement but have exceptional strengths that could make you excel in this role, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now and let's discuss your potential.

The recruitment process entails the following:

    1. An intro call with the People Team.
    2. A call with Lucas, our Sourcing & Supply Lead.
