We are looking for a highly motivated Carbon Portfolio Expert (f/d/m) to work closely with our Sales and Impact Team in a collaborative, fast-moving, VC-funded startup.

  • Drive the design and implementation of high-integrity carbon credit portfolios for enterprise-scale engagements, collaborating closely with CEEZER’s Carbon Market Experts, Solutions Consultants, and Account Executives.
  • Translate buyer requirements into resilient carbon credit portfolios within CEEZER, integrating risk management, budget considerations, and operational structure to deliver actionable solutions.
  • Develop resilient, data-informed portfolio structures that integrate risk management, budget optimization, and operational feasibility.
  • Function as an internal expert to advise on portfolio strategy and project selection with a focus on complex multi-year portfolios.
  • Liaise with the Impact team to ensure expert knowledge and to have an accurate understanding of the offered technologies the available supply.
  • Work closely with Sales to align on buyer portfolio requirements and buyer-facing materials for both pre- and post-sales activities.
  • 3+ years of experience in carbon markets or global carbon initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge about the dynamics and technicalities of the VCM, ideally with the knowledge of different technologies, project types and classification systems (e.g. Oxford principles).
  • Familiarity with leading frameworks such as SBTi and IC-VCM.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex portfolio decisions and communicate them clearly.
  • Proven experience collaborating across teams, fostering alignment among technical, operational, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to craft well-documented business cases.
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Fluency in English.

    The recruitment process entails the following:
