At 257, we are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in architecting and implementing innovative web applications that drive our mission to transform the energy landscape. You will leverage your expertise in both front-end and back-end development to create seamless, scalable, and efficient solutions that enhance user experience and empower our clients with actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex full-stack applications, ensuring best practices for software development are followed.
• Architect, Implement and maintain backend APIs and services using languages like Python or Node.js.
• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and data teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of applications through comprehensive testing and optimization.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and post-launch support.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively recommend improvements and innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in full stack software development.
• Black belt proficiency level in server-side programming languages like Python, Node.js, or Java and mother tongue level SQL
• Strong expertise in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Feel at home in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with modern web frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is a big plus.
• Solid understanding of web architecture principles, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies including relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL/Non-relational (Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis).
• Experience in building and operating applications within a Docker environment, like k8s or ECS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Prior experience in the energy, sustainability, or related industry is a plus but hey, we will teach you everything you need to know!.
