Job Description
Join our innovative team at 257 as a Frontend Engineer and help us build the future of energy data visualization and analytics. As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces that enable our clients and internal teams to interact with and derive insights from complex energy datasets. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of impactful solutions in the energy industry.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to develop user-friendly and performant front-end applications.
- Design and implement responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern web technologies.
- Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
- Integrate with backend APIs and data sources to fetch and update data in real-time.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility of front-end applications.
- Write clean and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end development trends and technologies, and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js or Plotly.js.
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
